A presentation copy, inscribed and signed by the author 'A Lutys, belle et noble Artiste, et ... peut-être deuxième habitante en réserve d'un très moderne harem de Pacha. Très amicalement et très admiratif, Anthelme, 26.VII.56'. The author was a French mining engineer working in Iran; the recipient may have been flamenco performer Lutys de Luz. This collection comprises literary reflections on subjects including perfume, Persian archaeology, Isfahan, and a lengthy account on a voyage to the South Pacific (in particular, New Caledonia). This section, 'En marge d'une mission dans le Pacifique Austral' (pages 48-83) comprises 'Extraits de conférences prononcées à la S[ocié]té de Géographique et à la S[ocié]té de l'Industrie minérale, en 1931/1932'.
