London, T.J. Allman, 1874.
Sextodecimo, 64 pages (including the covers) with 25 small woodcut illustrations (including maps).
Flush-cut limp pictorial yellow cloth with the publisher's advertisements on the pastedowns and outside rear cover; small hole punched in the front cover; minor loss to the bottom corner of the printed front pastedown; mild signs of use and age (contemporary pencilling, some fingermarks); overall a decent copy.

By whom was Australia discovered. A. The Dutch. Q. When? A. In 1616. Q. How did they regard it? A. As a savage island not worth possessing.' Not in Trove.
