The major four-volume 'Biographical Index of South Australians, 1836-1885' was published in 1986. These eight Bicentennial Bulletins were published quarterly between 1987 and 1989; they 'contained new biographies and also substantial amendments to entries published in the previous work. Sources were given for the information and the names of contributors included to assist other family historians'.
