Quarto, [iii], 85 leaves (rectos only) of duplicate typescript plus a frontispiece portrait of the author (a modern reproduction of a vintage photograph of him in his WW1 uniform) tipped in on the verso of the title page.

Binder's cloth; minor offsetting to the title page from the adhesive used to mount the plate; a fine copy.

The dedication page is signed and dated (27 August 1981) by Llewellyn Fowler. The frontispiece depicts 'Sergeant L. Fowler ... in 1919 after 3 years active service with the 10th Battalion'; pages 21-46 relate to his war service.
