Original brown cloth blocked in gilt and black with a design of an Aboriginal man with spear and hunting club; cloth slightly rubbed and bubbled; an excellent copy.

Inscribed and signed by the author on the recto of the frontispiece 'To Mr Buttrose from John Blacket, Feb. 1900'. Ferguson 7077 (noting only 'Brown cloth boards, title repeated in gold on front cover and spine'; we have also handled copies in red, blue and green cloth).
