Cloth a little marked, scuffed and sunned, and a little rubbed and bumped at the extremities; all edges uncut, and now a little discoloured; front flyleaf removed; endpapers and first and last pages offset and foxed, with occasional light foxing elsewhere; two ownership signatures (one dated 1903); minor signs of age and use (including a few pencilled annotations); a very good copy.
Loosely inserted are two sheets of handwritten notes (with an illustration) on how to summon one of the seven princes of Hell, the demon Belphegor.
