SA 'Cricketer'. Third Test. Adelaide Jan 16th 1925. Souvenir. Records, Photos, Score Sheets Etc. Price Threepence. Comments by J.J. Lyons, Famous Hitter [cover title]
Adelaide, Publishers Limited, Printers, 1925.
Octavo, 48 pages (including covers) with numerous portraits (all members of both teams, from photographs) and illustrated advertisements.
Pictorial wrappers a little marked and chipped; minimal expert conservation to the covers and the bottom corner of the first leaf; signs of use (most noticeably, the pencilled results of Australia's first innings); overall a very good copy.
A gripping contest: Australia, batting first, reached 489, with Ryder 201 not out; England and Australia then put on 365 and 250 respectively. England, set 375, were bowled out just 11 runs short. Padwick II: 2582.
