A very large advertisement on thick card, recently mounted and matted (visible image size 508 × 778 mm); laid down on the card are six original gelatin silver photographs (all sepia-toned, each one approximately 165 × 230 mm). The photographs are in two rows of three, with captions underneath. The top three show workers on plantations, supplying goods primarily for the export market: 'Gathering Coffee Berries'; 'Cutting Rice'; and 'Cutting Sugar Cane'. The bottom three are aimed at the tourist market, and depict the 'Ancient Hindu Temple, Baroe-Boedoer, at Djocja'; 'Ever Active Volcano, Bromo, Tengger Mts'; and 'Scene in the Moluccas'. A few trifling blemishes (including a short scratch to one photograph), but overall it is a rare example of a superb period-piece in excellent condition, now protected in a custom-made Mylar pocket.
