A large aerial photograph of Lindsay Park (circa 1930), the sprawling homestead near Angaston in the Barossa Valley which George Fife Angas made his home upon his arrival in South Australia in 1851. Long know as a stud for thoroughbred racehorses, the property is now owned by Goldin Farms

The gelatin silver photograph (visible image size approximately 420 × 570 mm) is matted, framed and glazed (external dimensions 590 × 740 mm); mat a little foxed; minimal silvering-out near the vertical edges; overall in fine condition.

While the photographer is not identified on the image, we believe it to have been taken by Adelaide photographer Darian Smith in the early 1930s, around the time he was producing numerous aerial views of South Australian landmarks for his publication 'Adelaide, South Australia, from the Air' (Adelaide, Gillingham & Co., circa 1932). Provence: the estate of Sara Angas, formerly of Lindsay Park (with the small estate stamp affixed to the verso).
