Original extensively blind-decorated cloth a little marked, foxed, and bumped on one corner, with the spine sunned and a little worn at the head; the rear flyleaf has some childish pencilling on it and a small triangular piece snipped from its bottom edge; minimal expert conservation to the map; minor blemishes to some uncut edges where opened carelessly (resulting in trifling loss along the top margin of the title leaf); minimal signs of use (including a few blue watercolour marks to one preliminary page); a decent copy.
With the early ownership signature of G.S. Lane on page 1 (and there is also a partially-erased example on the front pastedown).
