Cloth; edges and front free endpaper slightly marked; a near-fine copy with the excellent dustwrapper (lightly scuffed, with trifling surface chips to the extremities and two short closed tears to the head of the spine).

The surname signature 'Mollison' is written in ink on the front free endpaper - possibly James Mollison (1931-2020), inaugural director of the National Gallery of Australia (1982-89), and director of the National Gallery of Victoria (1989-95).
