The Seventh Battalion AIF. Résumé of Activities of the Seventh Battalion in the Great War, 1914-1918
Melbourne, printed by W. & K. Purbrick Pty Ltd, 1933.
Octavo, 191 pages with a two-colour title page (the battalion's colours) and 7 maps plus 3 full-page portraits.
Crocodile-patterned cloth; endpapers offset and lightly foxed (as are the edges and the first and last few leaves); an excellent copy.
Both authors were members of the battalion; Eric Gutteridge was a lieutenant-colonel and the medical officer, Arthur Dean was a lieutenant. The book is not identified as such, but it comes from the personal collection of Lieutenant-Colonel Alexander Thomas Paterson (1886-1950), Commanding Officer of the 39th Battalion AIF, and the author of that battalion's history. Dornbusch 307; Fielding and O'Neill, page 225; Trigellis-Smith 207.
