Gilt- and blind-decorated full morocco a little rubbed at the extremities; short tears to a few leaves expertly closed; an excellent copy.
One of the photographs ('Necrosis of Fingers and Toes') illustrates 'Diseases of Polynesians, as seen in Queensland' by F. BOWE (8 pages). The other five illustrate 'A New Procedure for the Cure of Congenital Talipes Varus and Equino-Varus' by T.N. FITZGERALD (6 pages plus 2 pages of line illustrations and 5 photographs, depicting three boys before and after their operations). A second volume of Transactions was also published in the same year ([ii], -1029 pages plus a large folding table and 9 original albumen paper photographs); only one of these photographs is cabinet-size, the others are cartes-de-visite (approximately 90 x 55 mm).
