125 × 185 mm, [ii] (the title leaf - a cancel, with only two words on it - the title in Russian and 'Petrograde') plus 23 pages of plates (three of them with two plates to the page) and a double-page panorama (all printed rectos only); most of the tissue-guards are present.

Pictorial cloth with the title in Russian and French (St Petersbourg) on the front cover; cloth slightly marked and rubbed; endpapers a little foxed; an excellent copy.

The title page is signed 'M. Daisy Bett nee Hay' and dated November 1916. A rare souvenir of the city on the eve of the February Revolution.
