South Melbourne, Gryphon Books [Richard Griffin], 1981.

Folio (437 × 275 mm), [30] pages comprising the pictorial title page, the ISBN, one page for each letter of the alphabet, the author's apology (for there being no more letters), and the colophon. All bar the ISBN and colophon pages carry large linocuts by Donald Friend. The artwork and part of the title page are printed in black; the text is printed in red.

Black buckram with the large gilt-pictorial maroon leather title-label on the front cover; covers slightly dust-marked; uncut leaves of heavy handmade paper uniformly cockled at the edges (by design); an excellent copy.

Number 86 of only 150 copies signed by the artist; 'There are no out of series copies'. The title is partially correct: the book is more suited to non-readers.
