Dublin, Gallery Press, 1981.
Octavo, 41 pages.
Cloth very lightly rubbed at the extremities; an excellent copy with the dustwrapper a little rubbed, marked and sunned.
A presentation copy to 'Colin and Cynthia' (Professor Colin Horne and his wife), with a two-line verse inscription signed by the author. Loosely inserted is a colour photograph (112x152mm), taken by the author, of Professor Horne and his son Dr John Horne resting on the grass outside Chartres Cathedral. Professor Horne's lengthy caption on the verso explains that 'the occasion inspired her poem "Flaked out on the Forbidden Grass at Chartres"', which is included in this - the author's first - book (with the dedication 'for CJH and JNH'). A photocopy of another poem published in the TLS (4 September 1981) is also loosely inserted.
