The first modern textbook in the field of molecular biology, by the Nobel Prize-winning biologist who in 1953 (with Francis Crick) first proposed the double helix structure of DNA. Catcheside held chairs of genetics at the University of Adelaide, University of Birmingham and the Australian National University.
