Early full calf with minimal blind-stamped decoration; corners rubbed and worn, with a little loss of leather to the head and foot of the spine, the front leading edge and near the rear bottom corner; outer hinges cracked but firm; endpapers a little marked, with a closed tear to the front pastedown and a thin strip cut from the head of the front flyleaf; tiny chip from the leading edge of the title-leaf; edges slightly marked, with a few trifling marks to the text; an excellent copy.
