South Australian Parliamentary Paper Number 145 of 1866. Fifteen unnamed members of the First and Second Northern Survey Expeditions were highly critical of their terms, conditions and treatment at Adam Bay under Boyle Travers Finniss, and sought various reimbursements. Among the petitioners were the crew of the 'Forlorn Hope', who 'at great risk of life, expense, and delay, were compelled to take passage in an open boat to Western Australia'.
