South Australian Parliamentary Paper Number 98 of 1887; only 670 copies printed. An account by Messrs W. Earle, Peter Anderson and George Mayers of a 2000-mile journey undertaken between late July and mid-September 1887 'through the western district of South Australia, from Streaky Bay to the boundary of Western Australia, near Eucla, inspecting the country, and taking notes of its physical features, the nature of the soil, the water supply and rainfall, vegetation, facilities for communication (and) shipping ports'. The first four pages comprise the daily journal of the trip.
