Broadsheet newspapers (approximately 640 × 450 mm), 53 issues bound as one volume, each issue comprising 8 pages; loosely inserted is the single-leaf supplement to Number 8428, Thursday 22 October.
Contemporary quarter calf and marbled papered boards lettered in gilt on the spine; minor wear to the covers and a few trifling blemishes to the contents; overall, in excellent condition (the volume was originally in the SA Supreme Court Library, and clearly rarely used).
The newspaper came out Monday to Saturday; it contains a fascinating miscellany of (mainly) local, national and international news, to say nothing of its main selling point, the advertisements (invariably half the content of each issue).
