An envelope (94 × 165 mm), with a colour-printed cachet and commemorative 7c postage stamp (both showing the Sydney Opera House), postmarked 'Sydney Opera House N.S.W. 2000, 20 Oct 1973'.

One corner slightly creased; in near-fine condition.

Signed by Jørn Utzon (1918-2008), architect of the Sydney Opera House. Utzon resigned from the project in 1966 and did not attend the opening ceremony; this signature was acquired by a local private collector who corresponded directly with him.
