A miniature book (27 × 19 mm), 384 pages with a frontispiece portrait of Samuel Johnson.

Gilt-lettered limp leather; covers a little rubbed; occasional creases and marks internally; a very good copy in the original locket case (somewhat tarnished).

A miniature dictionary, housed in the original pressed metal locket with a magnifying glass set into the lid. The case is lettered 'A Midget-Book with Magnifying Glass' on both sides.
