Vancouver, Spear & Jackson (B.C.) Ltd., .
Quarto, 152 pages with hundreds of illustrations.
Three-colour decorated wrappers a little rubbed and marked; front cover creased; a very good copy.
Loosely inserted are two related ephemeral items: 'The Spear-Fast Saw. Takes the Irk out of Work' (a four-page colour brochure); and a processed form letter on the company's Sheffield headquarters letterhead (folded in half, with minor loss to silverfish along the leading edge). The letter, dated December 1938, was sent with the catalogue, and states in part that 'This list, although similar in general appearance embodies many alterations and additions by comparison with previous editions and will repay perusal'. The contact details of the Australian agents (Thomas C. Brown & Co. Pty. Ltd.) are printed on a slip tipped in on the verso of the front cover. [3 items].
