Octavo, [28] pages with 45 labels for 26 different wines and spirits mounted on captioned leaves.

Saddle-stapled decorated card covers a little marked and strained at the staples, with minor associated sealed tears to the rear cover; four labels mounted on the incorrect leaves; a very good copy (intenally in fine condition).

The garish labels in this unusual catalogue include Glen View's signature fortified wines (such as ports, sherries, marsalas, muscat, and vermouth), as well as their table and sparkling wines. Few appeal to the modern palate!

The winery was established by the Falkenberg family in the 1860s, and the vineyards have been owned by Krondorf Wines since the 1970s.

The rear cover advertises the Glen View Tavern, 168 Gouger St, Adelaide, which may offer a clue to the date of publication. The Angaston 'Leader' for 20 April 1939 announces: 'Mr Ted Falkenberg, Tanunda, last week took over the Central Market Wine Saloon, in Gouger Street, city, where he hopes to extend the market for his Glen View Wines'.
