Cloth a little bumped at the extremities; spine lightly sunned; endpapers slightly tanned; a very good copy with the scarce dustwrapper price-clipped, somewhat tanned and foxed, with a streak of paint to the upper portion of the spine and a number of small chips and tears at the extremities.

In 1938 Melbourne-born Villiers 'began an examination of sailing culture in the Middle East and spent 18 months on board the Arab dhow "The Triumph of Righteousness", sailing from Kuwait to Zanzibar and back. He recorded his experience in "Sons of Sinbad" [sic]. The project ended prematurely owing to the outbreak of the Second World War' (Royal Museums Greenwich website).
