A very large full-colour poster, behind glass in a period frame of ornately-carved black-painted timber (visible image size 575 × 450 mm, external dimensions 710 × 580 mm).
The poster is in fine condition; a small section of the outer edge of one side of the frame has been rubbed, exposing the timber; overall, in excellent condition.
We have also handled examples of this poster issued as the centrefold in a half leather and gilt-decorated cloth cover, with oblong-format printed text as the pastedowns ('Records of the Generals whose Portraits appear on the Record' at the front, and 'Cross Index to Colour Patches and Abbreviated Names of Units ...' at the rear). This current offering presents it in a far more impressive manner.
