London, Hydrographic Office of the Admiralty, 1859 ('Corrections to')/ June 1st 1855.

An original engraved map on paper, matted, glazed and framed (visible image size 935 × 645 mm, external dimensions 1155 × 865 mm).

Paper unevenly discoloured and lightly bubbled in a few small areas (possibly as a result of the mounting process); minimal light pencilling in Backstairs Passage, Investigator Strait and the waters to the west; overall, in very good condition (and presented in a most attractive manner).

'Compiled, Drawn, & Engraved by J. Arrowsmith | 2389'. From Cape Wiles in the west to Lake Victoria in the east, with a small inset map of Willunga, but Yorke Peninsula and Kangaroo Island are very much the focus of this impressive chart.
