Three bookplates by Eirene Mort

Process prints; in fine condition.

The bookplates are for Ella Dwyer (Peake 1513), Sydney V. Hagley (Peake 2295), and herself (Peake 3831). Eirene Mort (1879-1977) was 'one of the first female Australian etchers ... She was a foundation member of the Australian Painters-Etchers Society. Produced approximately 92 plates' (Peake, page 18).

Provenance: H.B. (Harry) Muir (1909-1992), bookseller, publisher and bookplate collector; by descent. [3 items].
