Binder's cloth retaining the original wrappers; wrappers tanned and slightly marked with front bottom corner chipped, and a short closed tear to the rear cover (repaired with tape); overall an excellent copy.

With the ink ownership signature of one of Australia's foremost archaeologists, Rhys Maengwyn Jones (19412001) (dated October 1963) on the title-page, and the later colour pictorial bookplate of pioneering desert field archaeologist Professor Mike Smith AM (1955-2022) on the front pastedown.
