A group of six bookplates by Eric Thake, all of them with corresponding process blocks

The bookplates, in uniformly fine condition, comprise Thake's own bookplate (a stylised rendering of his initials E.A.T.), and bookplates for P. Neville Barnett, Jean Daley, V.S. Hewett, Clive Stephen, and E.L. Thompson. Five of the plates are stamped on the verso 'E. Thake | Wood'. The process blocks may have been prepared for 'Checklist of the Bookplates of Eric Thake', published by The Hawthorn Press in 1942.

Provenance: H.B. (Harry) Muir (1909-1992), bookseller, publisher and bookplate collector; by descent. [12 items].
