Wrappers slightly marked, with minimal expert conservation to the bottom edge of the front cover; overall, in excellent condition.

The detachable order form for Wendts 'The Premier Jewellers' (as well as 'Diamond Merchants, Jewellers, Watch Experts and Opticians') is still present at the rear of the catalogue; it carries the printed decade date of 193*. The catalogue contains products in these areas, as well as 'Silverware, Electroplated Ware, Leatherware, Brass and Copper, Fine China and Crystal Glass'. A small paper notice, printed in red, is affixed to the front cover; it advises that prices are 'subject to alteration without further notice', and additionally, 'On account of the present difficulties in the importation of goods, certain lines may temporarily be out of stock'. Indeed, a number of the wristlet watches have a cancelled stamp across them, and others have printed prices overwritten with savagely increased ones. The centenary history of the firm ('100 Years. 1854-1954. Wendts. Being the History of the Jewellery and Watchmaking House of Wendts Limited') was published in Adelaide in 1954.
