Large quarto (385 × 295 mm), 52 (first four and last blank), [3] (notes and colophon) pages plus 10 full-page etchings (2 with blank guard leaves), 2 tipped in etchings, and numerous blank leaves on which are mounted 10 original photographs (each approximately 255 × 205 mm or the reverse, in corner mounts, signed by the publisher and photographer Robert Littlewood), and 8 documents relating to the publication (5 word-processed documents, 4 of them signed by Robert Littlewood; a CD; an invitation to the book launch (indeed); and a tipped-in sheet of paper from a small note pad, containing on both sides what appear to be fragmentary poems written in Geoffrey Dutton's (very shaky) hand.

Full tan kangaroo leather blocked in gilt (bound by Friedhelm Pohlmann); top edge gilt, others uncut; covers very slightly rubbed and marked; a spot of foxing to the leading edge; essentially a fine copy with the slipcase (with some wear to the marbled paper on the rear panel).

A posthumous book of verse; Geoffrey Dutton died in September 1998. The entire edition comprised just 175 numbered copies signed in ink by the artist and the publisher (Robert Littlewood). This is copy number 24, one of 30 copies of the De Luxe issue (numbered 21-50), bound in full kangaroo leather, with 12 original etchings by John Olsen (10 signed), and with 'original manuscript material, ephemeral materials and an extensive collection of photographs taken by the publisher to document the relationship between the poet and the artist'. The Publisher's Special issue comprised copies 1-19, bound in full emu skin and containing similar additional material. The CD, recorded by Robert Littlewood, contains three tracks: 'The Artist and the Printer' (1.10); 'The Artist locked in the Zoo' (2.19); and 'New York Nowhere' (51.44).
