Three-quarter morocco and marbled papered boards (by the Roycroft bindery), with the spine lettered and extensively tooled in gilt; top edge gilt, others uncut; papered sides tanned and slightly marked; uncut edges lightly foxed; matching marbled endpapers tanned where they are in contact with the leather turn-ins; trifling signs of age and use; an excellent copy.

Number 40 of only 106 copies of the deluxe issue on Japan Vellum, numbered and signed in ink by Elbert Hubbard (publisher and leader of the Roycrofters). [We have other deluxe Roycroft Press editions in stock; enquiries welcome].
