Cloth slightly marked and rubbed; spine a little sunned; edges foxed and a little marked; free endpapers a little unevenly tanned; a very good copy.

Wren's armorial bookplate, signed by him in ink, is mounted on the front pastedown. Loosely inserted is the publisher's small two-colour pictorial flyer for other works by Wren (one side a little tanned). The third in the author's series about the Geste brothers, adapted for the film of the same name in 1931.
