Gilt-pictorial cloth a trifle marked; edges and endpapers a little discoloured, with the front flyleaf slightly marked; frontispiece creased at a bottom corner; an excellent copy with the original clear acetate dustwrapper a little scuffed, marked and torn (with slight loss).

Number 245 of 2000 copies (200 copies of a deluxe edition were also published). Provenance: George D. Cowan (an Adelaide solicitor and art collector), with his pencilled ownership signature on the front flyleaf.
