Saddle-stapled title-wrappers slightly creased, lightly marked, and pulled away from the top staple; top corner lightly creased throughout; a couple of pencilled annotations; a very good copy.
The subtitle is 'Paper to be read before the Institution by C.S. Cocks, Member, on Wednesday 17th November, 1948, in London'. It was issued in advance of the reading, and 'Subject to Revision' is printed at the head of the first page.
