Blue cloth (lettered and ruled in gilt on the spine, and in blind on the front cover) a little marked, mottled and unevenly sunned; scattered foxing (confined mainly to the edges, endpapers, and the leaves adjacent to the plates); a very good copy.

Fielding and O'Neill provide the informative note that the work first appeared 'in monthly instalments in "The Highlander", commencing July 1936', but they don't state that the latter was the 'Monthly Magazine of the 30th Battalion, NSW Scottish Regiment' (Trove).
