Card covers lightly creased; ink date to the title page of Volume 2; small tear to the flyleaf of the same volume; leaves a little browned at the edges; an excellent set with the very good dustwrappers a little rubbed, marked and creased.
The first volume is inscribed 'Finalmente! 23.xi.1977. San Clemente, Roma' by its sole author, scholar and palaeographer Leonard Eugene Boyle OP OC, later Prefect of the Vatican Library (1984-1997).
