Half maroon Japanese vellum and marbled papered boards; vellum a little marked and rubbed, with a few tiny surface chips; spine lightly sunned; papered sides slightly rubbed; top edge gilt, others uncut; overall, an excellent copy (internally fine).
Number 43 of the 'Special issue of 100 Copies for sale in Australia only', numbered and signed by Jack Lindsay. The edition also included 650 numbered and signed copies for subscribers. Provenance: Edward Angas Johnson (1873-1951), Adelaide medical practitioner prominent in public health circles, with his signature inkstamp on the front pastedown and title page. His grandmother was a daughter of George Fife Angas.
