This 'brief record of the evolution of a modern Sunday School' is based on the 'unique example of the adoption of these methods ... found in the Methodist Sunday School at Moonta Mines, South Australia'. All plates and many illustrations are specific to that school. A revised and augmented edition was published in June the following year; this first edition is scarce by comparison.
