Yellow papered boards very lightly bumped at the head and foot of the spine and the rear top corner; an excellent copy with the excellent price-clipped dustwrapper slightly creased and rubbed.

The three-page foreword by the author contains 'brief facts [that] should give the reader an idea of the enormity of the task confronting Biggles when he was ordered to find the luxury yacht "Cordelia", somewhere on the high seas, but no one knew where'. Number 60 is printed on the spine of the dustwrapper.
