Octavo, six volumes; papered boards a little rubbed and slightly marked; one front inner hinge a little strained; overall, an excellent set of an inferior production, with the dustwrappers lightly rubbed and scuffed, with the occasional light crease, housed in the original colour-pictorial card slipcase (a little scuffed and rubbed).

The first new translation into English since Scott Moncreiff's original version, under the general editorship of Christopher Prendergast. Unusually, each volume is translated (with a new introduction and notes) by one or more different authors: 'The Way by Swann's' by Lydia Davis; 'In the Shadow of Young Girls in Flower' by James Grieve; 'The Guermantes Way' by Mark Treharne; 'Sodom and Gomorrah' by John Sturrock; 'The Prisoner' by Carol Clark, and 'The Fugitive' by Peter Collier; and 'Finding Time Again' by Ian Patterson.
