Large quarto, two volumes, unpaginated but [xii] pages of preliminaries and 368 graphic works by Toulouse-Lautrec fully illustrated and described, plus an original etching.
Early three-quarter red morocco and marbled papered boards (retaining the original wrappers); spines lettered in gilt; top edges gilt, others only lightly cut; leather unevenly discoloured, and a little rubbed at the extremities, with light wear to some corner tips; marbled paper slightly scuffed, and rubbed along the bottom edges; overall in excellent condition (internally fine).
A catalogue raisonné of the graphic works of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864-1901). The original etching, bound in as issued, is 'Tristan Bernard' (Delteil 9, 168 × 100 mm: 'Pointe sèche sur zinc, tirée d'abord à 25 épreuves, pour M. Tristan Bernard, puis à 65 exemplaires sur japon et à 380 sur papier de hollande', with the latter reserved for this catalogue raisonné). Provenance: the celebrated French art historian Andre Schoeller (1879-1955), with his small paper name-label on an early blank in the first volume. [2 items].
