Olive-green cloth lettered in gilt and decorated in colour; top edge dyed, leading and bottom edges uncut; cloth lightly marked, a little rubbed, and sunned on the spine; acidic endpapers tanned and a little brittle; inner hinges cracked but sound; a very good copy.

The large bookplate of the Regent Square Presbyterian Church Missionary Library is mounted on the front pastedown.
