Full morocco lettered in gilt on the spine and front cover, all edges gilt; leather a little rubbed at the extremities; front board a little bowed; short marginal tears to six leaves expertly sealed; pages 337-348 ('Nappa Merrie, Cooper's Creek') a little thumbed; ownership details on the front flyleaf; a very good copy.
Seven substantial quarto volumes in this rare and important series were published in Sydney between 1910 and 1931. The first four volumes were published by 'The Pastoralist's Review' between 1910 and 1914; the three volumes of the New Series were published by 'The Pastoral Review' between 1929 and 1931. Featured properties were each given twelve pages of well-illustrated text, and it would appear that unpaginated sections, attractively presented in cord-bound wrappers with the name of the property, its owner and the publisher in gilt on the front cover, were made available to the owners for distribution to family, friends and colleagues. A fine copy of the fascicle for Nappa Merrie, at that stage still in the hands of the Conrick family, is included with the book. [2 items].
