A group photograph of approximately 120 Australian soldiers and eight American servicemen
A vintage gelatin silver photograph (image size 171 × 261 mm), mounted on card, as issued (not identified as such, but we have seen this particular type of mount before, with the inkstamp of 'C. Fitch & Son, Official Photographers ... Melbourne').
The mount is foxed and a little bumped and rubbed at the extremities; the photograph is in excellent condition.
The mount below the photograph is signed by one captain and seven lieutenants (two of them Americans). Five also identify their disparate units, suggesting this group is on a training course, possibly at Seymour army camp during the Second World War.
