Cloth; a tiny spot of glue residue to the front cover (a publication flaw); a fine copy with the fine dustwrapper with the dustwrapper a little scuffed, creased and torn (chiefly about the head of the spine).

The prospectus, and two signed letters from London dealer J.A. Allen ('The Horseman's Bookshop'), are loosely inserted; the original purchase receipt is mounted on the front pastedown. 'For this third edition, purely factual information which has gone out of date has been most carefully revised to take account of modern developments'.
