Adelaide, [The Author], 1971.
Octavo, [xxiv], 309 pages with 13 maps plus 30 pages of plates.
Cloth a little flecked; front top corner bumped; inkstamp of the Military Historical Society of Australia on the endpapers and title page (and a few related annotations on the front flyleaf); a very good copy with the red and green pictorial dustwrapper a little worn and creased at the extremities and lightly sunned on the spine. (A variant dustwrapper was also issued: it is unillustrated, on plain white paper with green lettering, more often than not faded to blue).
The author was chaplain to a succession of eight commando squadrons during World War 2.
