Much of this work comprises a facsimile of Wolfe's typescript of her handwritten diary entries, with Crowley's annotations. 'The diaries collected here represent the bulk of the surviving material from Wolfe's Cefalu period [where she studied at the Abbey of Thelema in Cefalu, Sicily with Crowley] ... many of the diaries were lost in the years after Wolfe left Sicily. However, she later attempted to reconstruct some of the lost periods, and we have included these summaries here' (introduction).
